Mobile App Permissions

Our mobile app requests the following device permissions to provide core functionality:

• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used to take photos for profile pictures and playdate event photos. You can choose to upload from your photo library instead.
• Calendar (READ_CALENDAR, WRITE_CALENDAR): Used to add confirmed playdates to your device calendar so you don't miss events. Calendar access is optional and can be denied.
• Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): Used to help you find friends to connect with by matching phone numbers or emails in your contacts. This feature is optional.
• Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Used to show playdate locations on a map and help you find nearby families. Location data is only used when you explicitly choose to share it for a playdate.

You can deny any of these permissions and still use the core features of the app. Permissions can be managed in your device settings at any time.
